Molten Poetry

Let it burn.

All at once,
mesmerized by light,
its dance, so bright,

bending.

A warped sending
of warmth blending
into the night,
where the cold
is unending.

Light, bind me!

Eternal embrace
of filaments…
a place where
Edison wept,
intransigent,
unbending,
forever unwilling
to let go
his light.

Awaken
from the night,
light-bender.
Your gift,
it glows,
so brightly.

Take me along,

“It’s my right!”

and I will lift my
gaze, shielded,
and watch you glow,

forever strong,
forever bright,

and

always unyielding.
