All at once,
mesmerized by light,
its dance, so bright,
bending.
A warped sending
of warmth blending
into the night,
where the cold
is unending.
Light, bind me!
Eternal embrace
of filaments…
a place where
Edison wept,
intransigent,
unbending,
forever unwilling
to let go
his light.
Awaken
from the night,
light-bender.
Your gift,
it glows,
so brightly.
Take me along,
“It’s my right!”
and I will lift my
gaze, shielded,
and watch you glow,
forever strong,
forever bright,
and
always unyielding.

I loved that: “Light, bind me!”
I always had a fondness for this one. Thanks for reminding me of it. That image was me playing around with shutter speed for the first time.
Nice! Strange how three little words can carry so much depth and weight.
