1,000 Earths of Weight

The waves, the waves,
glow with Moon’s rays.

Hiding the depths,
from the light of day.

The lurking beasts,
scream against the
water-weight of one
thousand earths, the
crushing place.

Feed and feast
on the lesser beasts.

While the lurkers eat,
the moonlight seeps
into the dark,
in pearls that gleam.

Sinking deep, the
light, it creeps, and
puddles in beads
around the feet
of lurking things
that wish to feed…

silent, lightless,
on the meals that

true darkness brings.
